Track and Field Day

Track and field was Thursday, May 14th. I love running and was looking forward to it. But on the same day it started to storm. . . well, almost storm. They began to see lightning so we had to leave early. We sat in the metal bleachers so lightning could strike it. We finished four races and were about to start the relays. We didn’t get to do the field events either. The races we had done were the mile, the 50, the 100, and the 200. I was disappointed but I hope we get to make it up! >:[

This Summer

This summer, particularly June 7th, I am leaving to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Zurich, Switzerland! Switzerland is located in the center of Europe so she can take me on train to almost everywhere! I asked to go to multiple places such as: Paris, France; Copenhagen, Denmark; Berlin, Germany; Amsterdam, Holland; and Vienna, Austria! Which she said yes! Speaking of Vienna, my friend Shelly says she is going to Vienna because her Aunt lives there. So we are going together! It is going to be so much fun because I have never been out of the country. Also, I have always wanted to go to Europe! I absolutely can not wait! I am very excited and I hope you guys wish me luck on the flight! Because it is my first one!

MY DOGS GOT KILLED

During spring break I did barely anything! I got to do a few things; nothing exciting. But a tragedy did occur.

It was midnight of Saturday, March 21st. I had gone to bed already, (Yes, that was early to me!) until I was awakened by the sound of yelping. I figured it was my little brother having a nightmare. He whines like that all the time anyways so I ignored it. Then my grandma ran into my room. She already checked my little brother’s room and they were sound asleep. She asked me if I heard it and I told her I did. She ran out the front door while I followed her. My grandpa came too. As I came outside I noticed something flash across the yard with my dog Bandit dangling from it’s mouth! He looked limp. I screamed as my grandpa told me to go get the rifle. I ran inside crying and shuffling through our stuff trying to find it. I grabbed it and dashed back out. But I grabbed the wrong thing- the B B gun! It was too late also. The- whatever it was- had already taken off. Later we searched and searched for him. All over everywhere. He was no where to be found- neither was Bandit. It was horrible because also, two nights before, I lost my other dog- my Pekingese. We were devastated then, too. We thought a huge bird had gotten him because of his size, but now we know what happened to him. Anyways, a few days later my grandpa talked to his friends at work and they said they spotted a  cougar hanging around that had escaped from somewhere! That’s what took them.  We contacted animal control and they’re out looking for it. Hopefully they find him. . . R.I.P. my dogs. :(

Bring Me the Horizon

My favorite band ever is Bring Me the Horizon! Although I like lots and lots of bands, this is one of my favorites, and I think they are great! Not many agree with me on that, but I sure think so. They are a screamo/metal band, and I own almost every CD by them. If you don’t know them at all you should definitely take a look at them. Even if it’s your favorite genre of music or not! (:

__Tuck Everlasting__

In school we had read the book called Tuck Everlasting. It’s about a family that drank spring water that gave them everlasting life. They were in the woods and were very thirsty and didn’t know about the spring, so the whole family drank some except their cat. Over years they noticed they weren’t aging and that the cat had died. If I knew what it would do to me, I wouldn’t drink it. It may sound fun to be able to live forever but I agree with Mae, the mother. She says that everyone should live life to the fullest and when it’s over, it’s over. Nobody should live forever or it will ruin the cycle of life. Everyone should die when it’s time. The cycle would be broken if we all lived forever. People also could get away with anything, and that’s not a good thing! That’s what I think if I had come across something like that. Would you choose to die or not to die?

Holiday Break

Our school had five days out~! YAY! It was for the holiday Thanksgiving. A lot of my family came from all over, but some couldn’t because they were in California or something for a dinner there; Like my cousin who went to New York. Anyways, we had turkey, stuffing, ham, rolls, green beans, rice, and too many deserts to count! Of course afterward we went out and played soccer and stuff and had a great time. I had tons of fun with my family and friends! I love Thanksgiving and can’t wait until Christmas!

Red Ribbon Week

This week at school we are having ‘Red ribbon week’. It is where you wear certain things on each day such as silly hats and things. Today we had to wear silly socks. The reason we do this is to show kids that we need to steer clear from drugs, and that we should keep away from them. Yesterday we wore caps, and the theme was ‘Put a cap on drugs’. It is to show people that doing drugs is something we need to avoid. Today the theme was ‘Sock it to drugs’. That is all that’s going on. And  that you, just like me, will not get involved with drugs.
